Arrive on Day 1 at your convenience.

When you check in at our host hotel, mention that you are with Rocky Mountain Adventure Tours and your name. If you plan to arrive a few days before your trip, consider staying at our host hotel or at one of the following options:

Driving to Banff

If you plan on driving to Banff, you can park your vehicle in the hotel underground parking lot on Day 1. Long-term parking is not possible at the hotel. Please contact us if you plan on driving yourself.

Returning Home

The trip ends at our host hotel no later than 4pm MST on the final day.

Accommodation on the trip

We stay at a hotel in Banff (included in the trip cost) for the first night of the trip. All other nights are spent camping at a campground near Lake Louise (5,052'), which is near the trails we hike.

Trip members sleep in four-person tents, with a maximum of two guests per tent.

Single travelers (additional cost and limited) sleep in a two-person tent.

Campsites are equipped with tables, firewood, fire pits, cooking shelters (or we may pitch a tarp to cover the cooking area). Bathrooms have flush toilets and hot showers. Trip members are responsible for taking their tent down (with assistance if required)

Because the campground is in an area frequented by wildlife, a permanent electric fence encloses the campground. However, squirrels, pine marten and other wildlife still inhabit the area. Therefore, guests must adhere to the “Bare Campground” program; all food and food-related items, as well as any scented cosmetics, must be stored in the support trailer or in the campground food storage lockers. No food or cosmetics can be stored in tents. This policy applies at night while we are sleeping, and whenever we depart our site for any length of time

Flush toilets and hot showers are available at the campground.
